Fly like a butterfly…

That’s the image on the World Boxing Council Female Fighter’s Page. And the famous quotation: “Fly like a butterfly, Sting like a Bee”

Boxing is different than other sports, you can see this difference in sponsorship for events. One thing takes my attention. In most martial art web sites, sponsors are beer companies. For WBC Corona, UFC Bud Light.. Also they are measuring the effectiveness of advertising with Nielsen Online’s surveys on the page. On the other hand, a beer sponsor for a sport event? I think it is not ethical!

People are used to see martial arts as violence but it is not. There are strict rules and regulations for boxing events and it has too many supporters. If you don’t know too much, probably you will think that it is violence.

In audience part, there are some surprising things that I saw. When I went to K1 European Selection in Istanbul, there were high income people with suits and their children. They know that boxing is not violence so they are bringing their children to this kind of events. In those events with those audiences, I think beer sponsorship is irrelevant. Boxing is different than a football event at the end.

In case of training martial arts, you should have strong passion to cope with hard training sessions. It is different than other sports, training a discipline of martial arts is not easy. It is different that what you see on the screen. You should admit yourself both physical and mental to learn.

Those trainings make you strong and self-confident. They help to deal with daily problems that you faced, make you relax after punching the training bag =)

After hard training sessions, you will become a real fighter both daily life and on the ring! So, do not drop your hands! Keep on fighting!
