I said great event since the programme was full of parallel sessions after introduction and Q&A sessions. Those parallel sessions were about success stories in business solutions that Oracle used for its clients.
Although, conference was very informative, there was a little problem about audience which includes different people from different industries. As an audience I was expecting more solution focused information about softwares but they really focused on IT based parts of solutions like hardware specifications. As a marketing graduate that was not interesting for me because I don’t have a clue about those hardware, servers, etc.
Because I lost my interest in the first part of the event, I left early. However, as a event, Oracle Day was really informative and successful so I can say that if I had technical knowledge on the IT industry I could spend an efficient day in there. Content and guest speakers of the event were very good planned as expected from the company.
On the other hand, there was strong advertising platform on the event with inserts, leaflets, desks of partner companies, etc. Also in sessions, some of the speakers were from business alliances of Oracle. Those companies had opportunity to tell their real life experiences, successful cases and their services directly. And as audience we had opportunity to compare those companies and their capabilities. Even though I didn’t attend the parallel sessions, I can compare those companies since they gave their catalogs, leaflets and other materials that mention about their success stories and business solutions integrated with Oracle.
As today’s speakers I can conclude my review with this sentence: Hardware and Software Engineered to Work Together (but not with me:))
